Microsoft’s Edge browser is about to get even more powerful with the introduction of a new feature designed to make your life—and your team’s work—much easier. Meet ‘Draft with Copilot,’ an AI-driven tool that can generate text on any topic in seconds.
Picture this: you’re in Edge, staring at an empty text field—maybe an email body or a comment box—unsure of where to start. Simply right-click, and you’ll find the option to ‘Draft with Copilot.’
When you click on it, a window will appear. Enter the subject or topic you need help with, hit ‘Generate,’ and watch Copilot work its magic. In no time, you’ll have a well-crafted piece of text tailored to your specified topic.
But it doesn’t stop there. You can easily adjust the tone and length of the generated text to fit your needs. Whether you want the content to be formal or casual, longer or shorter, Copilot has you covered.
Time is money, and ‘Draft with Copilot’ is here to help you save both. Think about the hours your team spends drafting emails or writing social media posts. With Copilot, these tasks become quicker and simpler.
Beyond speed, Copilot ensures your text is grammatically correct and well-structured, which is especially valuable when writing in a non-native language.
Currently, this feature is available only in US English, but Microsoft is working on expanding its language capabilities.
However, a word of caution: while Copilot is incredibly helpful, it’s important to review the text it generates. AI-produced content can sometimes come across as generic, so adding a personal touch or specific details can make it more engaging.
‘Draft with Copilot’ is currently in the Edge Canary preview build, so it’s still being refined.
As Microsoft continues to integrate Copilot across more Windows apps, it’s clear that AI tools are becoming more accessible and versatile, promising to simplify our digital tasks in the near future.
